TAMPA, Fla. -- After the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning combined for 11 goals in four regular-season meetings, Dale Weise didnt expect them to score eight in the first 60 minutes of Game 1 Wednesday night. "But thats playoffs, anything can happen," he said. Anything, including Weise scoring his first career Stanley Cup playoff goal and first NHL overtime winner to give the Habs a 5-4 victory at Tampa Bay Times Forum and a 1-0 lead in the Atlantic Division semifinal series. "I cant remember the last time I had an overtime goal, so that one feels real good," Weise said. It was the kind of back-and-forth affair that bred unpredictability. The Lightning scored four times against Carey Price on 16 shots in regulation, and it seemed like any and every shot could go in. In overtime, the margin for error was almost non-existent. But thats exactly what playoff star Daniel Briere wanted to embrace. "You have to be ready, and thats the beauty of overtime," said Briere, who set Weise up for the winner 18:08 into overtime. "You cant make any mistakes. One shot can end it all." Tampa Bays Teddy Purcell and Montreals Max Pacioretty were close to doing it, but were thwarted by a diving Josh Gorges and the clank of the left post behind Anders Lindback, respectively. Ultimately, that shot belonged to Weise, who earlier in overtime might not have been in position to take it. "We had about two or three similar chances just before and the last shift I kind of backed off on a play. I didnt want to get caught," Weise said. "I came to the bench and (assistant coach Gerard Gallant) said, Dont be afraid to jump in on that one, and thats what I did. (Michael Bournival) and Danny make a great play there, and I wont miss too many from there." Weise and Briere were the heroes, but the games previous 78 minutes had plenty of players putting on an offensive show. Steven Stamkos scored twice to go along with Tampa Bay goals by Nikita Kucherov and Alex Killorn, while Tomas Plekanec, Brian Gionta, Lars Eller and Thomas Vanek scored for the Habs. The goals were even at four apiece at the end of regulation, but the shots were far from it. The Habs had 35 to the Lightnings 16, taking it to a Tampa Bay team that was so good at puck possession during the regular season. Michel Therriens team just wanted to play a "solid road game" and got that job done. "We kept our composure. We didnt want to get out of our game plan," Therrien said. "The guys stuck to the game plan and they got rewarded at the end. Thats the way I see it." The game didnt go the way some envisioned, specifically after these teams had such low-scoring matchups before. Price said he was not surprised but instead was frustrated he allowed four goals. "Every games different and you never know whats going to happen out there," Price said. "Its tough as a goaltender when teams are capitalizing on scoring chances and theyre getting so few." Price was at his best in overtime when he stopped all nine Lightning shots. Tampa had more shots in overtime than in any of the three previous periods but couldnt cash in. "I thought probably overtime was one of our better periods we played in that game," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "(But) we kept shooting ourselves in the foot time and time again." Mistakes made it a fun game, as eight Lightning players were making their playoff debut at the NHL level. The Habs had only one in Bournival. The inexperience of youth was noticeable at times. "We came out tentative and didnt want to make mistakes, but as the game went on we got more comfortable," Killorn said. "The turnovers at the blue-line cost us." At the end of the night, one defensive-zone mistake cost the Lightning and allowed the Habs to steal the first game on the road. Naturally it was Briere who knew what to expect in overtime and record his 110th playoff point in his 109th career playoff game. "You just have to stay focused," Briere said. "I had the feeling that something good was going to happen. Our line had too many scoring chances that at some point we were going to get a good result." NOTES -- Brandon Prust returned to the Habs lineup after missing the final 12 games of the regular season with a shoulder injury. ... Defencemen Douglas Murray and Jarred Tinordi and forwards George Parros, Alex Galchenyuk, Travis Moen and Ryan White were scratched for Montreal. ... Lightning forward Ondrej Palat did not take a shift after one early in the third period because of an upper-body injury. Cooper said he would be re-evaluated Thursday. ... Gaspe, Que., native Cedric Paquette made his playoff debut after playing his first NHL game, Tampa Bays 81st of the regular season. Cheap NHL Jerseys China . Kassian, who had 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) and 124 penalty minutes in 73 games last season, signed a US$3.5-million, two-year deal. The 23-year-old native of Windsor, Ont., has 50 points (25-25) and 226 PIM in 156 career NHL games. We look forward to seeing him continue to develop as a Canuck." Kassian won a silver medal for Canada at the 2011 IIHF world junior championships and helped the Windsor Spitfires win a MasterCard Memorial Cup in 2010. He will receive $1.5 million next season and $2 million in 2015-16. Weber, who split last season between Vancouver and the Utica Comets of the AHL, had 10 points (6-4) and 16 PIM in 49 games for Vancouver. The 25-year-old Swiss blue-liner has 42 points (11-31) in 164 career NHL games with the Canucks and Montreal Canadiens. His one-year contract is worth $850,000. Quinnen Williams Jets Jersey . The CFL unveiled its 2014 schedule Wednesday and the Redblacks will play their first-ever regular-season game in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers on July 3.MILTON, Ont. - Canadian cycling star Curt Harnett likens it to being out on the water in a canoe on a calm day. When the water is like glass. . . just that feeling of no resistance, sort of like floating on air, Harnett said. The feeling of racing on a world-class track is unlike any other, said the three-time Olympic medallist, who was one of the first cyclists to ride on the new Cisco Milton Pan Am/Parapan Am Velodrome when construction was completed a few weeks ago.The gleaming $56-million facility west of Toronto was built for this summers Pan American Games, and is getting a test run at the Canadian track championships this week. The event may have brought together many of Canadas top athletes, but the track is truly the star of the show. Its a spectacular sensation, and when youre inside like that, and the facility is giving you all of the elements of that containment. . . spiritual is a strong word, but its a thrill, an adrenalin rush, Harnett said. It was a pretty spectacular moment for me, it was hard to believe that we would ever see something like this back in Canada. The Canadian championships, a test event for the Pan Am Games, were originally scheduled for October, but were postponed due to construction delays at the velodrome. The three-storey facility features a 250-metre track made of Siberian spruce, that Harnett described as being as smooth as Plexiglas. The cycling oval shares the same builder as the track for the 2012 London Olympics. Its pretty amazing actually to be here, said Allison Beveridge. Last year at nationals (on an outdoor track in Dieppe, N.B.), we had rain delays. . . The facility itself here is pretty amazing, and the track is as fast as anything you see around the world. The 21-year-old from Calgary was the leader in the Omnium on Monday, after five of six events. The final event — the points race — was scheduled for Monday night.Beveridge trained early in her career on Calgarys outdoor 400-metre concrete track. And along with her Canadian teammates, she spends a large chunk of her season training in Los Angeles. Thats where the closest world-class track was, until now.Remi Pelletier-Roy, who was second in the mens Omnium going into the final event, said his trips south to train have cost his parents $10,000 a year since he was 18.I think (the new track) will help kids get into the sport, because its cheaper for parents, and its also moree accessible — they can see it, they can see us racing, and maybe think its cool, said Pelletier-Roy.ddddddddddddFor the elite already in place, its a great facility to train and become even better on the world level. And to get kids involved in sports, when you have to travel 3,000 kilometres to get to an indoor velodrome, youre less likely to have people get into the sport. But a facility like this in Canada. . . we might see more track cyclists the next few years.Montreal was home to the cycling velodrome built for the 1976 Olympics, but it was torn down in 1989. There is a 150-metre covered track in London, Ont., and one in Burnaby, B.C., that measures 200 metres. But neither is near the calibre of the oval in Milton. Jacques Landry, Cycling Canadas high performance director, believes its the best track in the Americas. Over the past few days, hes watched as one after another of his athletes has stepped off the new track with high praise for the facility. This is the first time weve been on the boards here, and everybody is pretty enthused about it, Landry said. Its one of the worlds top facilities now for track cycling, and its our home now, so thats great.Landry said Canadas track cyclists will be based in Milton in the weeks leading up to both the Pan Am Games and the Rio Olympics, whereas they would have held their final camps and Olympic staging in Los Angeles.Olympic silver medallist Steve Bauer grew up training on the indoor track in Montreal.Thats what spurred me into the world cycling scene with the national team, Bauer said.Bauer capped his amateur career with a silver in the road race at the 1984 Olympics, before a pro career that saw him race in 11 Tours de France. Now 55, Bauer won the Masters C scratch race Monday, for athletes 50-and-over.Racing on the new track was a thrill, he said. Its such a beautiful track, smooth and wide, and such a great venue, Bauer said. Everyone talks about the word game-changer, which is absolutely true.Bauer is spearheading the new Milton Cycling Academy as its head coach, and said Canadian cycling has its work cut out in recruiting kids to the sport. I think that thats an important mission, get more athletes on the track, working with the coaches, and eventually were going to have some great champions in the future, Bauer said. It will take time and patience, but with such a facility, you cant go wrong. ' ' '

CHAMROUSSE, France -- If Vincenzo Nibali was looking happier Friday after the Tour de
Posted by: carrie201918 - Yesterday, 06:05 AM - Forum: News - No Replies

CHAMROUSSE, France -- If Vincenzo Nibali was looking happier Friday after the Tour de France rode into the Alps, heres why: His top rival fell out of contention, he gained nearly a minute on his next-biggest challenger and oh, he won Stage 13 to boot. On a sunbaked and melting Alpine road, the 29-year-old Italian, cemented his control of cyclings greatest race with a solo-finish victory that was an afterthought to gaining time on other title contenders. Team Skys Richie Porte, who began the day in second, saw his title hopes all but vanish after he lost about 9 minutes to Nibali on the last climb along the grueling 197.5-kilometre (122-mile) trek from Saint-Etienne to Chamrousse ski station. Ever cautious, calm and understated after his stage win, Nibali noted that three big Alpine climbs still await Saturday and other punishing ascents are on tap in the Pyrenees next week. "For the coming days, I only know that I have to remain quiet," he said. But in the winners circle, where he collected the yellow jersey for the 11th time this year, Nibali perhaps let slip a bit more happy emotion -- knowing that a first Tour victory for an Italian since Marco Pantani in 1998 just got a little closer. "I expect more attacks tomorrow in another very hard stage and next week," Nibali said. "My advantage over Porte is good now. Hes the rider I feared the most in the closing time trial." If Nibalis mountain dominance keeps up -- on Monday, he won the only other high-mountain stage so far -- the 54-kilometre (33-mile) time-trial in Stage 20 from Bergerac to Perigueux is the only real challenge left in his way. The unexpected has gone Nibalis way. He surprised himself by winning an up-and-down Stage 2 stage in the hills and dales of Yorkshire and capturing his first Tour yellow jersey. He mastered cobblestone treachery in Stage 5, when 2012 Tour champ Chris Froome crashed out. And then, two-time Tour winner Alberto Contador went out five stages later after a fast downhill crash fractured his tibia. In a sport where many dominant riders in past years later turned out to be drugs cheats, Nibali confronted the issue of doping a day earlier, saying he expected questions about it. "This theme belongs to the past," he said, crediting recent efforts like enhanced testing and the biological passport to clean it up. This 101st Tour could become the third straight in which the winner locked up victory from before the halfway point. Last year, Froome was in yellow from the eighth stage onward. In 2012, Bradley Wiggins had the shirt for good after Stage 7. Nibali took it in Stage 2, lost it in Stage 9, and regained it a day later. Hes hoping to take it home after a largely ceremonial ride on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on July 27. A comeback by a rival would be exceptional by recent standards. After the 13th stage last year, Froome had three other riders within minutes. In 2012, Wiggins had only two. After Fridays ride, no one is within three minutes of Nibali. The first of two days in the snow-capped Alps lived up to its billing as the daunting final climb of 18 kilometres (12 miles) with an average 7.3 per cent gradient shook up the overall standings. The ride was hot: black tar on the recently resurfaced road to Chamrousse melted. Big crowds lined the route, including fans dressed as superheroes and one as a scantily clad Borat -- the Sacha Baron Cohen film character. As riders embarked on the final climb, the pack was mostly together and Valverdes Movistar team was pushing the pace. But when it hit the steepest part, Porte struggled and dropped off the back and Nibali briefly turned his head to look. Valverde attacked a short while later, but Nibali and the others reeled him in. Nibali said he felt "better and better" as he climbed, despite the heat of more than 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). When the Italian saw "Richie Porte in trouble," he turned his attention to gaining time on Valverde, he said. After two riders raced ahead, the Italian leader struck -- jumping out of his saddle, and pedaling while standing in the upright riding position known in French as "la danseuse" or the dancer. He overtook them, and went on to win. Portes troubles also meant others climbed in the standings: Frances Romain Bardet moved up to third, countryman Thibaut Pinot was fourth, and American Tejay van Garderen fifth. Nibali appeared to be taking a risk that his effort to distance his rivals could come back to haunt him. By his own admission a day earlier, he said that he feared the second Alpine day more. Saturdays 177-kilometre (110-mile) stage takes riders over three tough climbs from Grenoble to Risoul -- including the Izoard pass that is one of the hardest under cyclings ranking system. Some of his rivals seem to be accepting that Nibali may win. "Vincenzo is the strongest rider in the race, but after him, there is a place to take," Bardet said, referring to the final podium. Nibali "played it well", said FDJ.FR team manager Marc Madiot. "Now he can say Ive got all the cards, I can do what I want, when I want and if you try to slap me, I give two slaps in return." Jay Novacek Youth Jersey . I kept my eyes focused up on the camera during each approach. I just tried to stay focused on my form, as I didnt know what the ball reaction was. Suzy Whaley was the first women to make the cut in 2005 at Kiawah Island. A former Indiana University player, the 31-year-old Paolozzi is a PGA assistant professional at Druid Hills in Atlanta. "This is exactly what my goal was," Paolozzi said. "I wanted to make the cut. I wanted to come here and play well. I was a little disappointed after yesterday, but I knew if I put in a solid round today, I had a chance." The 37-year-old Broce had an even-par 72 at Grande Dunes to take a one-stroke lead over Ryan Helminen. Broce had a 4-under 140 total. "Yestterday, the conditions were a little more benign, but today was a lot different.dddddddddddd The wind kept you uneasy," Broce said. "I just got into a plan to hang in there and survive. I got away with a couple bad swings and was able to come back. I just plan to have fun and play golf the next two days and see what happens." Helminen, the PGA teaching professional at Ridgeway in Neenan, Wisconsin, overcame double bogeys on his fifth and sixth holes at Grande Dunes for a 73. "I got a lot out of that round," Helminen said. "When youre 5 over through six holes and going the wrong way and you make a birdie and some par-saving putts, it lifts your spirits." The top 20 Wednesday will get spots in the PGA Championship in August at Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky. Paolozzi isnt eligible to earn a spot in the PGA Championship because she didnt play from the mens tees last fall when she qualified in the Northern Ohio PGA Section Championship. ' ' '

ATLANTA -- The Big Easy, Naptown or the Twin Cities. Thats the choice facing NFL owners when they vote Tuesday on the site of the 2018 Super Bowl, choosing among New Orleans, Indianapolis and Minneapolis. Each city has hosted the big game, albeit just once for Indy and Minny. New Orleans has staged 10 Super Bowls, tied with South Florida for the most. Most recently, the 2013 game was delayed 38 minutes by a blackout at the Superdome. Despite that power problem, New Orleans is considered a favourite to be chosen by the 32 owners as the city celebrates its 300th year. A three-quarters majority is required for passage. Saints owner Tom Benson recently had minor knee surgery, but the 86-year-old Benson is expected to attend the meetings. Colts owner Jim Irsay is taking part in league business for the first time since his arrest for having $29,000 in cash and bottles of prescription drugs in his car. Irsay has been undergoing treatment and the owners meetings is Irsays first public appearance since the arrest. "Its just good to be back and good to be able to put an effort into regaining the Super Bowl," Irsay said. "I really feel we did such an incredible job the first time." Irsay declined to comment on whether he would address the other owners about his personal situation. Only the Vikings will present a brand new stadium in their bid, a $1 billion indoor facility scheduled to open in 2016. "Were going to celebrate winter. And we should, because we do it well -- better than anyone," said Richard Davis, co-chair of the Minneapolis bid committee. "Were going to talk to the owners about how its about time that the NFL brought Americas game around the country, like a caravan, and started taking it out from the Southern states and bring it around to the rest of the world. We should be the first." Actually, the game was held in New Jersey this year -- the first outdoor Super Bowl in a cold-weather site. Indianapolis was highly praised for its Super Bowl in 2012, when the Giants beat the Patriots. The city has a history of staging big events and will host the Final Four next spring at Lucas Oil Stadium. The NFL always has favoured bringing its title game to New Orleans, and the appeal of warmer weather in Louisiana than in the other bidding cities could be a factor. Next years game is in Arizona, and the 50th Super Bowl will be in the San Francisco Bay Area. The 2017 game is set for Houston. Also on the agenda, although no vote is certain, will be expanding the playoffs from 12 teams to 14. That proposal was discussed at the league meetings in Orlando in March. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said its still possible such a change could happen this year if it is voted on and passed in Atlanta. More likely, 2015 would be the target date for expanded playoffs. "Were being very deliberate about it," Goodell said. "We want to make sure we do it in the right way." Goodell also has been championing improved workplace environments in the wake of the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal. Owners will talk about that issue on Tuesday. "You never want to see any story that reflects on that we dont have the right workplace environment," Goodell said. "Weve redoubled our efforts to make sure we provide the right environment ... for everybody in the NFL." Nike Schuhe Größentabelle . Dwyane Wade added 24 points and Chris Bosh had 22 for the Heat, idle since a 90-84 loss Tuesday at Indiana.ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Angels had to sit through a long, depressing plane ride home after giving up Nick Swishers game-ending grand slam in Cleveland. Garrett Richards made sure the Angels disappointment didnt even last a day. Richards pitched six innings of four-hit ball, David Freese drove in two runs, and the Angels beat the Texas Rangers 7-3 on Friday night for their seventh win in eight home games. Josh Hamilton and Erick Aybar had RBI singles in the fifth inning as the Angels opened a six-game homestand with just their fourth win over the AL West-rival Rangers in their last 18 meetings. Richards latest outstanding start and a balanced offensive effort were an appropriate cure for the Angels, who lost four of six on their road trip -- capped by Swishers theatrics -- after a prolonged stretch of outstanding play. "Its a good bounce-back game," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "We had a tough game and a long flight, but we came back with a lot of energy." C.J. Cron homered in the third, and Hamilton and Howie Kendrick scored on Brad Snyders throwing error in the fourth inning as the Angels built a 7-1 lead against Joe Saunders, who remained winless in six starts for Texas. Richards (7-2) needed a career-high 119 pitches, but still struck out seven and didnt allow an extra-base hit while shutting down another opponent in his breakthrough season. He has yielded just two earned runs in 27 innings over his last four starts after giving up only Andrus third-inning RBI single to Texas. "It was nice to be able to get stretched out a little bit," Richards said of his record pitch count. "My arm feels good. As long as I dont give up many runs, its all right." Not everything went perfectly for the Angels: Mike Trout went 0 for 3 with a walk, snapping his 13-game hit streak, the second-longest of his career. The Angels steadily built a lead against Saunders (0-3), who gave up 10 hits and three walks while losing for the fourth time in five starts against his former team. The left-hander began his major league career in Anaheim and spent parts of six seasons with the club. "It wasnt my best, lets put it that way," Saunders said.dddddddddddd. "Honestly, it was kind of a battle from pitch one. I felt like I was just a tick off all night long. ... I made some good pitches and they still made me pay for it." Michael Choice homered and Elvis Andrus extended his hitting streak to 10 games for the Rangers, who have lost three straight. Texas had an early lead after Leonys Martin walked, stole second, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on Andrus single in the third. Cron replied later in the inning with his fourth homer of the season, an impressive shot into the elevated right-field stands. Hamilton walked and advanced on Kendricks double in the fourth, and both runners scored when Snyder fielded Aybars grounder and threw it past catcher Robinson Chirinos to the backstop. Snyder has been an outfielder for most of a career spent largely in the minors, but he is learning on the job at first base for a club missing injured star Prince Fielder. "That was a big situation," Snyder said. "I feel terrible doing that to Joe, but Im going to keep working and try and pick him up next time." Freese then showed signs of emerging from his season-long slump with an RBI single, just the second run-scoring hit in 77 at-bats since May 25 for the longtime St. Louis third baseman. Trout and Albert Pujols walked and scored on singles in the fifth, and Freese drove in Hamilton moments later to chase Saunders. NOTES: Los Angeles recalled versatile INF Grant Green from Triple-A Salt Lake before the game, and he replaced Pujols in the sixth inning for his first major league appearance at first base. Green batted .359 in 22 games with the Angels earlier this season, but was sent down for a lack of playing time. ... Trout struck out looking in his first two at-bats, leading to an animated conversation with home plate umpire Chad Fairchild. Trout leads the Angels with 73 strikeouts. ... The Angels are 11-4 in Richards starts this season and 28-29 in other pitchers starts. ... Ben Rowen, the Rangers submarining right-handed reliever, pitched 3 1-3 innings of one-hit relief in his third major league appearance. He is from nearby Rancho Palos Verdes. ' ' '

FIFA has announced the tournament awards nominees for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the selections are dominated by the two teams that will contest the final on Sunday. Of the ten players competing for the Golden Ball Award for tournament MVP, seven of them represent either Argentina or Germany. Angel Di Maria, Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi have been nominated from the South American nation while Mats Hummels, Philipp Lahm, Toni Kroos and Thomas Mueller have been selected from the European side. The three remaining players are Neymar from Brazil, Arjen Robben from Netherlands and Colombian breakout star James Rodriguez. Two of the three keepers up for the Golden Glove award are also still in contention for the tournament championship. Both Manuel Neuer of Germany and Sergio Romero of Argentina are finalists as well as Keylor Navas from Costa Rica. Memphis Depay of Netherlands, Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane of France have been nominated for the Best Young Player award given to the tournaments best player born after January 1st, 1993. The Golden Boot award will go the the tournaments leading scorer, currently Rodriguez leads the tournament with six goals, while Mueller is second with five and Messi is tied with Neymar at four goals. Listen to the game live on TSN Radio 1050 at 7pm et. The Raptors traded Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to the Sacramento Kings on Monday, in exchange for Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes. "I honestly want to think Rudy, Quincy and Aaron for their time here," said Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri. "I think those guys are super professional. It sounds cliche, but Rudy was a great person to work with. Phenomenal, talented player, but it just wasnt working." Gay was averaging 19.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg, but shooting only 39 percent from the field. Money was certainly a factor in the deal as well since Gay has a player option next season for over $19 million. The Raptors may not be done making moves as Kyle Lowrys name has been featured in trade reports. He becomes slightly more expendable now with Vasquez in town. "I never want to say theres nobody," said Ujiri. "I dont want to call out names. If somebody offers us Michael Jordan, am I going to say no? You never know whats going to come your way." The Raptors return home after a 1-2 trip out west.dddddddddddd The lone victory came Sunday night when Toronto, which didnt have the three newest Kings in uniform, spoiled Kobe Bryants season debut. The Raptors beat the Lakers, 106-94. Amir Johnson was dominant with 32 points and 10 rebounds, while DeMar DeRozan scored 26 and Lowry finished with 23. Terrence Ross, who should see an increased role at small forward, managed 11 off the bench. The Spurs set out on a two-game trip as they will visit Milwaukee on Wednesday. Center Tiago Splitter didnt make the trip due to a left calf injury. Last time out for San Antonio, the Indiana Pacers came to Alamo City Saturday night and left with a 111-100 victory. The Spurs built an eight-point lead after the first quarter, but the Pacers dominated the middle two frames to the tune of a 67-30 scoring disparity. "In the second quarter, they started making some shots and we werent able to keep up. We went cold, they got that lead, and we couldnt recover," Spurs forward Tim Duncan said. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 18 points, followed by 16 from Manu Ginobili. Tony Parker chipped in 13, Duncan and Patty Mills both scored 10 points. The Spurs have won five straight against the Raptors and three in a row in Toronto. ' ' '

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ranking teams before they have even played a minute of meaningful basketball is a tough job, but one the Associated Press must undertake every season. The Top-25 is certain to shift throughout the ups and downs of the season, and while some teams will rise above their current position, others will surely fall. Figuring out which direction each squad will go is the challenge. No. 25 Harvard - Lower With five straight 20-win seasons, four consecutive Ivy League titles and back-to-back wins in the NCAA Tournament, Harvard has been one of the top mid- major programs in the country of late. However, the Crimsons schedule is rather weak. While that is simply part of being in the Ivy League, just a few losses will likely keep them from spending all season in the national rankings, although it wont keep them out of the field of 68 come March. No. 25 Utah - Higher Utah also earned 98 points in the preseason poll, tying them with Harvard for No. 25. If you havent already heard of Delon Wright, its only a matter of time. The 6-foot-6 guard is one of the most versatile performers in the country, posting team-highs in scoring (15.5 ppg), assists (5.3 apg), steals (2.5 spg) and blocks (1.3 bpg) for a 21-win Utah team last season. Wright isnt the only top-notch player the Utes have, as Jordan Loveridge (14.7 ppg, 7 rpg) and Brandon Taylor (10.6 ppg) are back for another go. No. 24 Michigan - Higher There is talent to burn in the backcourt for John Beileins squad, which is coming off its first outright Big Ten title since 1986, and thats even with the departure of Nik Stauskas. Caris LeVert seems destined for stardom and Spike Albrecht, Zak Irvin and Derrick Walton, Jr. will all fight for time on the floor. If the Wolverines get anything positive from a young group up front, they will be tough to stop. No. 23 Syracuse - Lower The Orange have risen to No. 1 in this poll in three of the last five seasons, but that wont happen this time around. Syracuse lost too many key pieces, including clutch point guard Tyler Ennis (12.9 ppg, 5.5 apg), leading scorer C.J. Fair (16.5 ppg, 6.4 rpg) and highlight reel stud Jerami Grant (12.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg). Trevor Cooney (12.1 ppg) and Rakeem Christmas (5.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg) remain, but Jim Boeheim needs to get a lot out of a young group. No. 22 SMU - Higher It is interesting that SMU is ranked lower than Connecticut in the preseason poll. Obviously, the Huskies are defending national champions, but the Mustangs have the most potential among teams in the American Athletic Conference. All-conference guard Nic Moore (13.6 ppg, 4.9 apg) and defensive enforcer Markus Kennedy (12.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.2 bpg) lead the way for a team that won 27 games last season. They will be even hungrier following last seasons NCAA Tournament snub. No. 21 Nebraska - Lower Five returning starters, including Big Ten scoring champ Terran Petteway, make the Cornhuskers seem like an easy bet to return to the NCAA Tournament. However, it is worth noting this is a program that has not made it to the Big Dance in consecutive seasons in 20 years. The Cornhuskers also got into the field in 2014 by the skin of their teeth, finishing at 19-13 overall. Some degree of regression appears to be on the horizon. No. 20 Ohio State - Higher The Buckeyes find themselves in a different position than fellow Big Ten member Nebraska, as they must replace a number of key players, including point guard Aaron Craft and leading scorer LaQuinton Ross. Fortunately, there are reinforcements and excellent ones at that. Shannon Scott averaged 3.4 assists and two steals per game last season. His style of play mirrors Craft, who he no longer has to back up. Anthony Lee, a transfer from Temple, and highly- touted recruit DAngelo Russell make for an even deeper talent pool. No. 19 Oklahoma - Higher There is a lot to like about the team that Lon Kruger has assembled. The Sooners, who finished at No. 21 in last seasons AP poll are taking aim at a third straight NCAA Tournament appearance, and with nearly every piece back they could do more than that. While the loss of Cameron Clark stings, the Sooners still have Buddy Hield, Ryan Spangler, Isaiah Cousins and Jordan Woodard. If Houston transfer TaShawn Thomas, who was a double-double waiting to happen with the Cougars, is granted eligibility, the Sooners will trot out one of the best starting fives in the country. No. 18 Michigan State - Lower Gary Harris is gone. So is Adreian Payne. Oh, and Keith Appling no longer calls East Lansing home. Those are three major hits to take, even for a Tom Izzo-coached squad. Thats not too say the Spartans streak of 17 seasons with an NCAA Tournament is in jeopardy. Denzel Valentine and Branden Dawson will make sure of that. It just may be another year before the Spartans are back rubbing shoulders with teams in the top-10. For instance, next season when West Virginia transfer Eron Harris is eligible to play. No. 17 Connecticut - Lower Led by Shabazz Napier and his clutch shooting, the Huskies won the national championship last season. The encore will feature a change to the cast, as Ryan Boatright is now the go-to guy in the backcourt, with Napier now cashing checks in the NBA. Boatright is a blur on the floor, but he isnt the scorer that Napier was. Neither is promising center Amida Brimah, who is going from DeAndre Daniels understudy to primary post option. No. 16 San Diego State - Higher Does San Diego State have another Sweet 16 run in it? Obviously the AP thinks so, and for good reason. Winston Shepherd and the Aztecs ran to 31 wins last season, taking home the regular season title in the Mountain West Conference. They did so by playing tough defense, ranking second in the country in points allowed (57 pg). Shepherd doesnt have point guard Xavier Thames or leading rebounder Josh Davis to help him this season, but the Aztecs will be among the nations best anyhow, especially if they stay strong on the defensive end. No. 15 VCU - Lower The Rams started in the 14th position in this poll last season. They were at No. 10 three weeks in, but then fell from the rankings altogether, not to reappear until March when they lifted themselves to No. 23 before ending at No. 24. This seasons squad has the tough task of replacing some important parts, with Rob Brandenberg and Juvonte Reddic gone. Shaka Smart is still the mastermind and that alone makes VCU dangerous. With Briante Weber and Treveon Graham ready to go as well, the Rams will still be good, just not top-15 good. No. 14 Iowa State - Higher How did Fred Hoiberg deal with the loss of Big 12 Player of the Year Melvin Ejim and potent scorer DeAndre Kane? Why, he just picked up several coveted transfers, who will keep the Cyclones on an upward trajectory. Bryce DeJean- Jones comes in from UNLV, Hallice Cooke brings his shooting touch from Oregon State, and forward Jameel McKay (Marquette) adds even more depth. All that is new will fit with all that is familiar (Georges Niang, Monte Morris, Dustin Hogue) to create an enviable roster and one that will bring plenty of wins to Ames. No. 13 Gonzaga - Higher The Bulldogs wont fall into the same trap as other mid-major programs, although at this point its tough to group them there as their schedule presents plenty of chances to pad their resume. Mark Fews squad will play Arizona, UCLA and Memphis in non-league play, and two bouts with West Coast Conference rival BYU wont be easy. With an experienced backcourt led by Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell Jr, as well as frontcourt titan Przemek Karnowski, Gonzaga has a chance to win every one of those contests, and the other 30 on the schedule as well. No. 12 Villanova - Higher Creighton no longer has sharpshooter Doug McDermott, and no team is happier about that than the Wildcats. Villanova was the best team in the Big East last season, finishing with a 16-2 mark in conference play en route to a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, the Wildcats two losses in league play came against the Bluejays, by an average margin of 24.5 points. While Creighton, and many other teams in the conference are retooling this season, the Wildcats have four starters back. Expect them to dominate their league and be a bigger factor in the NCAA Tournament. No. 11 Wichita State - Lower The Shockers finished at No. 2 in this poll last season. Thats what winning 35 straight games will do for you. Greg Marshall has led his team to at least 27 wins in four straight seasons, including back-to-back 30-win finishes. He also has Fred VanVleet, who may just be the best point guard in the country, as well as Ron Baker and Tekele Cotton back. However, the loss of Cleanthony Early cannot be understated. Wichita State is still the best team in the Missouri Valley Conference, but it is not one of the 11 best in the country. No. 10 Texas - Higher Rick Barnes quickly turned things around following a disastrous 16-18 finish in 2013, leading the Longhorns to a 24-11 record last season as well as a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The expectations are set much higher this time around, with the Longhorns expected to challenge for the Big 12 title and perhaps more. Its easy to imagine UT playing deep into March with the returning talent on the roster. Isaiah Taylor, Javan Felix and Jonathan Holmes highlight the group, which gets a major boost with the addition of prized recruit Myles Turner. No. 9 Virginia - Lower Tony Bennett has done an incredible job at Virginia, turning a program that went 10-18 the season before his arrival into the Atlantic Coast Conference champions. Bennetts squad may not have been the flashiest, but its dedication on defense made the Cavaliers difficult to topple. They led the country in scoring defense (55.7 ppg), while holding foes to 38.8 percent shooting. Bennett has a number of key components back, including all-league guard Malcolm Brogdon, but improved squads at Duke and North Carolina, as well as the addition of Louisville to the ACC, may push the Cavaliers back, albeit slightly. No. 8 Louisville - Lower In each of the last three seasons, the Cardinals have won at least 30 games. They also have won three conference titles and a national championship in that span. They are now a member of the ACC, which is a murderers row compared to the diluted American Athletic Conference. Montrezl Harrell is the key for this squad and a strong candidate for All-American honors. However, Rick Pitino has a huge hole to fill with Russ Smith gone. Finding another scorer (or two) may take some time, and could lead to a less prosperous campaign. No. 7 Florida - Higher One of the few teams in the nation equipped to deal with major roster turnover, Florida is poised for another year of domination. Without the likes of Casey Prather, Scottie Wilbekin and Patric Young, most teams would be ready to go into rebuilding mode. Not the Gators, who will attempt to make up for last seasons Final Four letdown with proven commodities (Michael Frazier II and Dorian Finney-Smith), promising youngsters (Kasey Hill and Chris Walker), a key transfer (Jon Horford) and a healthy Eli Carter, who was a double-digit scorer at Rutgers before a fractured fibula slowed him down. No. 6 North Carolina - Lower It has been a turbulent time in Chapel Hill recently. There was the P.J. Hairston and Leslie McDonald debacle last year, followed by former star Rashad McCants damaging claims in the spring. Then, just a few weeks before this season is set to begin, a report was released detailing past academic wrongdoing. Setting aside all that, the Tar Heels are pretty talented this season, led by Marcus Paige, who is at his best in big moments. If they can push the distractions aside, this team could be great, but it remains to be seen if it can be elite. No. 5 Kansas - Higher Bill Self has himself another pair of freshmen that will make Lawrence a frequent destination for NBA scouts. After Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid were key parts of last seasons Big 12 regular-season title team, Kelly Oubre and Cliff Alexander are the key components of this years recruiting class and squad in general. Oubre, at 6-foot-7, is an athletic specimen and Alexander is a bully down low. They will team with Wayne Selden, Jr. and Perry Ellis to form yet another immensely-skilled Kansas squad. No. 4 Duke - Higher Another team that is ready to compete at a high level because of a number of talented freshmen is Duke. The Blue Devils brought in Jahlil Okafor, widely considered the top recruit in the country, as well as Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow. The young trio will have Blue Devils fans forgetting about the loss of Jabari Parker and a painful setback to Mercer in the NCAA Tournament in no time. Rasheed Sulaimon and Quinn Cook, who have actually played for Duke, will be important contributors as well. No. 3 Wisconsin - Lower Four starters return from last seasons Final Four squad. None is bigger, both literally and figuratively, than center Frank Kaminsky, an early favorite for Naismith Player of the Year. Sam Dekker, who suffered a minor leg injury near the end of October, should be good to go, and Traevon Jackson and Josh Gasser are each capable players as well. If there is any reason to believe Wisconsin will fall back from the No. 3 spot it is the programs history. The Badgers have never finished in the AP top-five. No. 2 Arizona - Higher One of the teams Wisconsin beat on the way to the 2014 Final Four was Arizona, which was the No. 1 seed in the West Region and probably will be again this season. It really speaks to how well Sean Miller can recruit when a team that lost Pac-12 Player of the Year Nick Marshall and talented freshman Aaron Gordon is expected to be better than it was a year ago. Top recruit Stanley Johnson will be one of the best freshmen in the country, and hes only the beginning. Brandon Ashley, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Gabe York, T.J. McConnell and Kaleb Tarczewski make for one of the deepest rosters in the country, and one that is capable of winning the national title. No. 1 Kentucky - Lower This is a familiar spot for the Wildcats, who also topped last years preseason poll. They fell from their lofty place during the regular season, but wound up making a run to the national championship game anyway. For once, John Calipari wont have to start over following a mass exodus of one-and-done stars. This season he gets back Willie Cauley-Stein, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Alex Poythress, Marcus Lee and Dakari Johnson, to go with big-time recruits Trey Lyles and Karl-Anthony Towns. If there is any concern it is a lack of depth in the backcourt, which is admittedly a stretch, but it could be a factor should one of the Harrison twins endure a sophomore slump. He won the Pintys 250 at Kawartha Speedway in a green-white-checkered finish on Sunday to come from behind to win the 2013 championship in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 by just two points. The Milverton, Ontario driver had to win the race and lead the most laps to earn the maximum 48 points to overcome a five-point deficit coming into the event in order to become the first three-time series champion. Steckly led a race-high 113 laps en route to the victory. "Its just great," said Steckly. "I really cant put into words what this means to everyone involved in 22 Racing. My crew works hard to give me good cars and my thanks goes out to them. (Thanks) to the fans. We get great support we get from the fans week in and week out. To do this is just amazing."  After beginning the 2013 campaign with a pair of finishes outside the top 20, Steckly mounted a charge that included three straight wins in July. He entered the final race, which was delayed a day by rain, trailing defending champion D.J. Kennington in the championship standings. Steckly, whose previous titles came in 2008 and 2011, demonstrated the strength of his No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge early in the day on Sunday, topping the practice charts and winning his 12th career series pole. He led the early portion of the race, making a point of staying ahead of Kennington. After pitting twice during the second caution, Steckly and Kennington restarted 12th and 13th, respectively. The pair steadily worked their way to the front as Jason Hathaway, who entered the event with a mathematical shot at the title, pulled away with a big lead. All three title contenders stopped for right side tires during a caution on Lap 150 and from there set sail to the finish. Jeff Lapcevich led initially, but soon gave way to Pete Shepherd III. The trio of title contenderss battled among themselves as they closed in and moved by Lapcevich for second.dddddddddddd Hathaway, who slipped by Kennington, challenged Shepherd for the lead following a restart - but saw his hopes dashed with a spin in Turn 4. Steckly took advantage on the restart and raced Shepherd side-by-side for the lead - eventually getting the top spot for good after contact coming out of Turn 4. Steckly went on to win by a margin of .580 seconds over Shepherd. "The lapped cars make it difficult sometimes and we just stayed as patient as we could," said Steckly. "The caution there at the end is pretty much a given in this race and we were able to hold everybody off." Shepherd, who was looking for his third win in four starts this year, came up just short in that bid. "Scott just outdrove me there at the end," said the driver of the No. 7 National Exhaust Dodge. "I didnt make it easy for him to pass me, but he was able to get around me. If I could have gotten to the outside of him in Turn 1, I would have bound him down pretty good, but I respect the championship battle he was in and he earned every inch of it today." Lapcevich was able to hang on for a finish in third which gave him his third top-five finish of the season. "Overall, the Tim Hortons Dodge was really good today," said Lapcevich. "I had some trouble getting going on restarts, but all of the pit stops were good. We came in, I think, three times and we picked up positions each time. Im satisfied with what we did today." Kennington ended up in fourth while Martin Roy came home fifth. Finishing sixth through 10th were Noel Dowler, Donald Chisholm, Mark Dilley, Ron Beauchamp Jr. and Ryley Seibert. The Pintys 250 will premiere on TSN2 on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 5:30pm et/2:30pm pt and on the French-language RDS2 at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 18. Both shows are special 90-minute programs. ' ' '

PYONGYANG, North Korea -- Former NBA star Charles D. Smith says he feels remorse for coming to Pyongyang with Dennis Rodman for a game on the North Korean leaders birthday because the event has been dwarfed by politics and tainted by Rodmans own comments. Smith and other former NBA players are scheduled to play with Rodman against a team of North Koreans on Wednesday that organizers say leader Kim Jong Un is expected to attend. Many of the players on Tuesday privately expressed second thoughts about going ahead because of an outpouring of criticism back home in the United States. Smith, who played for the New York Knicks, said the North Korea trip has been dwarfed by politics and Rodmans frequent boasts about his close friendship with Kim. "What we are doing is positive, but it is getting dwarfed by the other circumstances around it," Smith told The Associated Press. "Apparently our message is not being conveyed properly due to the circumstances that are much bigger than us, and I think that has to do with politics and government." Rodman arrived in Pyongyang on Monday with seven former NBA players and four streetballers for the game on Kims birthday, believed to be his 31st. Along with Smith, the squad features ex-All Stars Kenny Anderson, Cliff Robinson and Vin Baker. The game would be another milestone in Rodmans surprising relationship with basketball fan Kim, who rarely meets with outsiders and is possibly the worlds most mysterious leader. Rodman has called the game a "birthday present" for Kim but says he has received death threats for his repeated visits to this country and for calling Kim a "friend for life." "The way some of the statements and things that Dennis has said has tainted our efforts," Smith said. "Dennis is a great guy, but how he articulates what goes on -- he gets emotional and he says things that hell apologize for later." NBA Commissioner David Stern has distanced his organization from Rodmans squad. "The NBA is not involved with Mr. Rodmans North Korea trip and would not participate or support such a venture without the approval of the U.S. State Department," he said in a statement. "Although sports in many instances can be helpful in bridging cultural divides, this is not one of them." Rodman is the highest-profile American to meet Kim since the leader inherited power after his father, Kim Jong Il, died in late 2011. He travelled to the North for the first time last February and came back just before Christmas to hold tryouts for the North Korean basketball team, though he did not meet with Kim then. The plan to hold the game has been criticized because of the Norths human rights record, its development of nuclear weapons and its threats to use them if a conflict breaks out with Washington or Seoul. Rodman, in particular, has been slammed for not trying to use his influence with Kim to secure the release of Kenneth Bae, an American missionary with health problems who is being held in North Korea on charges of "anti-state" crimes. Asked in a CNN satellite interview Tuesday whether he would raise the issue of Bae, Rodman yelled in response, "I dont give a rats ass what the hell you think. ... One day this door is going to open because these 10 guys here." Smith placed his arm around Rodmans shoulder and a hand on his arm in an attempt to calm Rodman down. "I feel bad for Dennis, I feel bad for the players," Smith said afterward, adding that when he played for the United States in the 1988 Olympics he felt elation. "I felt huge, I felt on top of the world. But I feel the reverse now," he said. "I feel a lot of remorse for the guys because we are doing something positive, but its a lot bigger than us. We are not naive, we understand why things are being portrayed the way they are. We cant do anything about that, if we could we would. "Were not skilled in those particular areas," he added. "Dennis is definitely not skilled in those particular areas." Cheap NHL Jerseys China . - First-timer Chris Harris Jr. NHL Jerseys China . Like a magic trick, the puck popped out behind Stalock in the San Jose net. While Sharks coach Todd McLellan decried the legality of the tiebreaking goal, the Los Angeles Kings celebrated their latest, greatest escape yet. Down 0-3 just a few days ago, the Kings squeezed through that minuscule opening and emerged in Game 7. Williams scored the go-ahead goal with 8:04 to play, and the Kings beat the Sharks 4-1 in Game 6 on Monday night, rallying all the way back from a daunting series deficit. Williams and Anze Kopitar each had two goals and an assist, and Jonathan Quick made 25 saves as the Kings became just the ninth team in NHL history to force a seventh game after losing the first three. "We certainly didnt want to go away quiet," Kopitar said. "Were only thinking about one more step now. Were going to have to play our best game of the series up there." Just three teams in NHL history have rallied from an 0-3 deficit to win a series, and Los Angeles has earned a shot to join them. The winner of the California rivals third playoff meeting in four years will face the top-seeded Anaheim Ducks in the second round. After watching three Kings goals and several violent scrums in the final minutes, Los Angeles fans roared with an intensity that likely hadnt been reached since the Kings Stanley Cup run two years ago, sending their team back to the Shark Tank on Wednesday night. A tie game turned when Williams whacked home Robyn Regehrs shot at Stalock, using the opportunistic scoring sense that has made the two-time Stanley Cup champion into a clutch playoff performer. "Maybe we got a break, maybe we didnt," Williams said. "But nobody blew the whistle." San Joses bench loudly protested the call, saying the puck should have been blown dead under Stalock, but it was upheld on video review. "We got cheated," McLellan said. "Simple as that. I was told that you could see the puck laying behind his feet the whole time." McLellan said the Sharks couldnt see the puck on video review. Kings coach Darryl Sutter thought replays showed the puck was loose. Kopitar followed with two goals 1:15 apart for the Kings, who have outscored San Jose 13-4 in the last three games after San Jose dominated the first three by a combined 17-8. Stalock stopped 26 shots in his first NHL playoff start, and James Sheppard scored on a double deflection in the second period for the spiraling Sharks.dddddddddddd. After utterly dominating the first two games, San Jose has scored just one goal against Quick in the last 128:24 in the series. "In my mind, if it gets to Game 7, it doesnt matter how it gets there," Sharks forward Logan Couture said. "It gets there, and youre going for one game. We played all year for the home ice. Im sure our building is going to be loud. Weve got to turn this thing around and win that game." McLellan changed starting goalies after Stanley Cup winner Antti Niemi was pulled from each of the last two losses. McLellan took a risk on Stalock, whose NHL experience consists of 27 regular-season games and 57 minutes of scoreless relief in this series. Drew Doughty had two assists for Los Angeles, which lost the first three games of the series in discouraging fashion before rallying with resounding victories at home in Game 4 and at the Shark Tank in Game 5 on Saturday night. Doughty set up the Kings first goal with a sharp pass to Williams, who has four goals in the Kings last two home games. San Jose got a 5-on-3 advantage for 1:38 early in the second period, but the Kings killed it off. The Sharks finally tied it moments after a third fruitless power play when Sheppard deflected Justin Brauns slap shot out of midair and off Regehr. After Williams go-ahead score, Kopitar got loose on a 2-on-1 rush with Williams, who set him up perfectly. Kopitar added a power-play goal. The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the three teams to accomplish what the Kings hope to do, rallying from three games down to beat Boston in 2010 with a roster including current Kings forwards Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. The Sharks played without key defenceman Marc-Edouard Vlasic, who left Game 5 early with an upper-body injury. The Canadian Olympic gold medallist was replaced by Matt Irwin, while streaky forward Marty Havlat also was in San Joses lineup for the first time in the series, replacing Mike Brown. NOTES: Los Angeles lost D Willie Mitchell to an undisclosed injury during the second period. ... The Sharks hadnt changed their starting goalie during the playoffs since 2001, when Miikka Kiprusoff took over for Evgeni Nabokov during a series. ... Vlasic had played in all 84 possible playoff games since joining the Sharks for the 2006-07 season. ' ' '

England paceman Steven Finn needs to get a bit nasty in order to rediscover his bowling rhythm, according to Sky Sports pundit Sir Ian Botham. The tall Middlesex seamer has been struggling for form since returning prematurely from Englands victorious winter tour of South Africa with a side strain picked up in the series-clinching win in Johannesburg in January.Finn, who admitted to be striving for rhythm, has been down on his usual pace in the first two Tests of the summer, with the fast bowlers average speeds hovering around the 80mph mark. Finn celebrates taking the wicket of Sri Lanka opener Kaushal Silva for 60 And despite Englands three other seamers being among the wickets as the tourists were bundled out for just 101 in their first innings in Durham, Finn himself went wicketless through seven overs. However, the 27-year-old did finally managed to capture his first scalp of the Test on Sunday when Kaushal Silva tried to hook the paceman, only for the ball to loop up in the air to wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow.Earlier in that over, though, Finn had uncharacteristically chosen to exchange in a few words with the Sri Lankan opener in an apparent effort to gee himself up. Michael Holding said he looks like someone who is bowling within himself and setting his sights on bowling 25-30 overs in a day David Lloyd And Botham thinks the bowler should at times take a leaf out of team-mate James Andersons book by showing more aggression towards the batsman in an attempt to focus his mind. The problem that Steve Finn has is that he is actually just a nice guy and he needs to be a bit nasty and to get into their faces a bit more, the former England captain told Sky Sports after the days play.I think that he tried to do that, and he is right in that suddenly everything else goes out the window and all you are thinking about is that batsman. It is a way of focusing and I think that maybe he needs to do it a bit more.Maybe one of the other bowlers, like Jimmy Anderson, needs to have a quiet word with him and say: Come on, get into him. Get yourself going and fired up.In fact, Botham believes Finn - who returned match figures of 3-45 in Englands innings and 88-run win in the first Test in Leeds - could do worse than just trying to run in and bowl flat out as he looks to return to form. Finn was forced home early from Englands victorious winter tour of South Africa with a side problem Just sweep everything away, run in and try and bowl as quick as you can, he said. When you have four seamers, you can say to one guy: Finny, you are here to bowl a quick burst and I want wickets from you and you to bowl as quick as you can.Go out there and do not think about it too much.
